When we first arrived and walked into the reception barn a few hours before Kelsey & Dalton’s wedding ceremony in Lufkin Texas, I was completely blown away that everything was completely setup!! Seeing the sweetly rustic ambiance of a beautiful Texas barn and the romantic florals my first thought was oh my goodness I can’t believe everything is already set and my second thought was wow, this is exactly how I would have envisioned Kelsey’s wedding decor. Their day was full of beautiful little details, true Lufkin Texas charm, and the sweetest surprises that made you forget a pandemic had begun and uncertainty was looming.
The first fun surprise of the evening was when Dalton and his momma surprised the guests … and Kelsey, during the mother/son dance with a few little ‘extra’ dance moves. I was shocked to later learn that they only practiced once for about 15 minutes! They improvised perfectly!! The second fun surprise would be the beautiful fireworks at the end of Kelsey and Dalton’s sparkler exit. As we were all gathered outside and the sparklers burned out we could hear the launch of the fireworks on the other side of the pond. As the sky began exploding, I have to say it was also pretty exciting to hear their guests excited reactions.
You don’t have to be around these high school sweethearts long to see why they are clearly loved and respected by their friends and family. Thank you Kelsey & Dalton for letting me be a part of your beautiful wedding in Lufkin Texas…. and experience all of the fun surprises!!
